Since the Middle Ages there has been intensive water management here, since the area is below sea level it would be completely flooded without windmills. High time to go on your own adventure among the ancient windmills of Kinderdijk!

You will pass the Oude Maas via Barendrecht, continue to the Waal via Zwijndrecht and Ridderkerk and end at the Nieuwe Maas. Along these waters you can enjoy beautiful polder areas and picturesque villages.
